12 ships with petroleum products ready to berth in Lagos

There seems to be end to the scarcity of petroleum products following the arrival of 12 ships that are waiting to discharge petroleum products at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication stated that that 10 of the ships were waiting to berth with petrol, while others would berth with bulk gas and aviation fuel.
It would be recalled that the country have been undergoing serious scarcity of petroleum products since November 2015 for reasons best known to the dealers.
In the same vein, NPA stated that 32 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected to arrive the ports from Jan. 8 to Jan. 24.
According to the authority, the expected ships contained general cargoes, buck wheat, containers, fresh fish, bulk charcoal, bulk sugar, ethanol, empty containers, diesel, steel products and petrol.
And 21 other ships are at the ports discharging buck wheat, general cargoes, bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, bulk rice, bulk gypsum, containers and petrol
