Stock market rebounds as Fidelity Bank tops volume chart

The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed in the green today.  The All Share Index ended today’s trading session at 31,041.42 basis points, up 0.67%. Year to date, the index is down 1.24%

Ikeja Hotel Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 9.94% to close at N1.88. Eterna Plc was next appreciating by 9.28% to close at N5.30. Seplat Plc rounds up the top three gainers for the day, adding 9.26% to close at N590.

On the flip side, Union Diagnostic and Clinical Services Plc was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 9.09% to close at N0.30. Cutix Plc fell by 8.87% to close at N1.85. Fidelity Bank Plc rounds up the top three losers for today, shedding 8.85% to close at N2.06.

Fidelity Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 58.1 million shares valued at N126 million were traded in 408 deals.

The bank today released a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that a N0.22 dividend contained in an earlier version of its financial statements has been superseded by an announcement of a N0.11 dividend.

Chams Nigeria Plc was next with 40.8 million shares, valued at N218 million traded in 40 deals.

United Bank of Africa Plc rounds the top three most actively traded stocks today. 36.3 million shares, valued at N280 million were traded in 37 deals.
