Benue South Re-run: David Mark votes

Former President of the Senate, David Mark, who is the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the Benue South Senatorial District re-run election cast his vote at Otukpo Club polling unit in Otukpo Township Ward 1. With the APC Benue south senatorial hopeful Comrade Daniel Onjeh also casting his vote.
Mark in the company of his wife who walked the distance from his house to his polling unit was welcomed by crowd of electorates with the shout ‘Okpokpowulu K’Idoma’. He voted some minutes before 11am.
Meanwhile in some part of the local government which house the former senate president and the State Deputy Governor has witnessed hire tension of violence.

Igoche Agbo, press officer of the deputy Governor report that an APC Party Agent was Hacked at Idabi Polling unit, in Otukpo local government.
According to the victim Agbo Icha Emmanuel an APC agent, he escorted the ballot box along with INEC officials from INEC office in Otukpo.
“On getting to idabi polling unit at Otukpi- Icho where election was to take place, Some people suspected to be thugs tried to steal the ballot box, In the process of preventing them, i was hacked on the head by one Joe”
“Been in an unconscious state, another individual by name Imonye Akpoga popularly called Okpeke consistently threw stones at me, but for the timely arrival of the police i would have been killed” he said.
Reacting to the incident, the Benue state deputy Gov. described the incident as unfortunate but said security agents have been drafted to the scene to handle any further occurrence.
