ADC plans “Masses-Oriented” coalition to oust APC in 2027
“We are bringing many political parties together and I can assure you without missing a word, you’re going to see the biggest coalition of patriots, People driven coalition.”
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Okey Nwosu, has announced that the party is actively working to form a “masses-oriented” coalition in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, Nwosu stated that the ADC is not only aiming to unite several political parties but is also mobilizing young Nigerians who have recently turned 18, to expand their voter base.
“We are bringing many political parties together and I can assure you without missing a word, you’re going to see the biggest coalition of patriots, People driven coalition.”
Nwosu strongly criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleging that the ruling party has “completely ruined” the country. He expressed optimism that the ADC will successfully build a people-driven coalition capable of defeating the APC in the 2027 elections.
“People are tired. We are mobilizing them. We are mobilizing people that just turned 18. As a matter of fact, as of now we have about 170 million voters. We are mobilizing people that just turned 18. We are mobilizing people that have refused to vote. And we have people who have the capacity to do the mobilization. A new beginning has come,” Nwosu stated.

He further emphasized the party’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity, stating, “When you look at the globe, Nigeria is completely out. APC has buried Nigeria. So for us, we are bringing light, we are bringing diversity, inclusion and equity.”
Nwosu asserted that the ADC is building a “coalition of patriots” and that political parties will inevitably join the movement. “Nobody will miss this bus because this is the only bus that will bring transmission in Nigeria. And I want you to note it.
For the first time, the presidency will be won by ADC and we are going to score nothing less than 35 million votes,” he declared.
