AGU: Nollywood actor flown to Abuja, inaccessible since arrest
Chiwetalu Agu, Nollywood actor the DSS detained after the army released him last week at Upper Iweka, Onitsha, has been flown to Abuja.
Agu’s problem began when he rocked a Biafra robe around the popular market—an action the military troops on Operation Golden Dawn first suspected.
And DSS has been interrogating him on the motivation for taking such action—whether to further incite the secessionist group IPOB that hold sway in the southeast.
He denied all the allegation, saying he was just wearing the dress as he distributed bread to the hungry in the area.
Since his arrest, relatives say they have been denied access to him, as the DSS moved him from Anambra to Enugu, and finally to Abuja.
Agu has been a supporter of the pan-Igbo movement, and has been critical of the Nigerian government he believes marginalizes the east.
