Appeal Court affirms Nwoko as Delta North Senatorial winner
The Court of Appeal Wednesday in Lagos affirmed the Tribunal judgment declaring Prince Ned Nwoko of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) as the legitimate winner of the February 25 Delta North senatorial election.
In a unanimous verdict, the court dismissed the appeals of Mr. Peter Nwaoboshi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that of the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Mr. Ken Kanma for lack of merit.

The National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Asaba, Delta State, had earlier on September ruled that Prince Nwoko, a former member of the House of Representatives (Oshimili/Aniocha) overwhelmingly won the election.
While Justice Catherine Ogunsola led three-man Delta State Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba dismissed Mr. Kanmma’s petition for lack of merit, Senator Nwaoboshi’s bid to return to the red chambers for a third term also met a similar fate.
