Atiku flies abroad to mind his own business, Ayu overseas for leisure, PDP burns at home
The media aide of the PDP presidential candidate Abubakar Atiku has reacted to report his principal has flown to Europe for medicals.
It is very likely Atiku hasn’t even left.
But Paul Ibe, media aide to the presidential candidate, has said except theire is a last-minute change, Atiku will be travelling to Europe truly, but not for medical check-ups.
In a statement by Ibe said Atiku will be travelling immediately after his meeting on Friday in Lagos with the leadership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta.
“Today’s trip is in continuation of an earlier business trip of three weeks ago,” Ibe said.
“At the conclusion of his European trip, the former Vice President will also use the opportunity to visit his family in Dubai.”
Many may wonder why the party business at home, especially the ever escalating crisis between him and Rivers Gov. Nyesom Wike, is enough to occupy him till the start of campaign by Sept. 28.
Days ago, the National Daily reported, party chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, amidst the clamours for his resignation, flew abroad , too, for vacation.
Atiku, however, was a businessman before he became a politician.
