Atiku replies Shettima for calling him a bottle water seller
The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has taken out his time to reply the Vice Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Kashim Shettima, for referring to him as a bottle water seller, describing the statement as irresponsible and disrespectful.
Speaking further, Atiku Abubakar made it known Kashim Shettima’s statement indicates that the Tinubu-Shettima administration will be anti business. He further noted that any business that produces products is creating jobs and also delivering dividends.
The PDP presidential candidate made this disclosure in a statement that was issued on Wednesday night, by Paul Ibe, Atiku Abubakar’s media adviser, noting that any business that employs workers should be valued, The Cable News reported.
Some parts of the statement read: “The remarks from the candidates of the APC show gross irresponsibility and disrespect. It is indicative that the Tinubu-Shettima administration will be anti-entrepreneurship and business. One would have thought that the duo would use the advantage of such a gathering to talk about solutions that their party, APC, has foisted on the country. Rather, they went on the ultra highway of political indecency. Any business that produces products, creates jobs and delivers dividends, especially in this era of the APC administration when the country is bleeding jobs is an asset and should not be mocked………”
In addition, the PDP presidential candidate demanded that Shettima should apologize to Nigerians, most especially to those benefiting from Atiku Abubakar business.
It should be recalled that Kashim Shettima while speaking at the meeting with the business community and organised private sector slammed Atiku Abubakar by stating that ones ability to sell bottle water doesn’t make the person an expert on the area of economy. He went on and compared Atiku Abubakar with Raila Odinga, who had contested several elections in Kenya without winning any one.
