Atiku return, ready for Edo mega rally Saturday
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday, returned to Nigeria from a trip to France.
Atiku’s return precedes the presidential rally of the party which is scheduled to be held in Edo on Saturday.
Atiku left Nigeria hours after the PDP rally in Kaduna State on Monday.
PDP bigwigs are expected to be at the rally which will beginat 10 am with all elected governors on the platform of the party invited.

In a statement addressed to Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP; Iyorchia Ayu, national chairman of the party; and Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto and director-general of the PDP presidential campaign council, Umoru said the crisis in the Edo chapter of the PDP should be resolved before campaign takes place in the state.
Umoru, who is the coordinator of the PDP mobilisers in Edo, accused Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, of failing to unite the members of the party in the state.
He also alleged that Ayu manipulated the state’s delegates’ list which was used for the PDP presidential primary, adding that his actions have “brought so much division” in the Edo chapter of the party.
