Breaking: ASUU fails to reach truce with FG, extends strike by another 2 months
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday announced that the strike action embarked upon by its members which has closed government-owned universities in the country, is to be extended for another two months.
This is after the National Executive Committee (NEC) which was held between late Sunday night and early Monday morning.

The Union has been on a one month warning strike before now.
Just a few hours ago, the federal government stated that the much-talked about UTAS, a salary payment option for lecturers, has experienced failure.
But the leadership of ASUU countered the government’s claim.
