Cedric Masters Group, assemblers of the JIM-Isuzu Pickup brand in Nigeria, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Indigenous Auto Enterprise’ Award at the Motoringworld @ 30 Celebration and Awards Ceremony held at the prestigious MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The award was presented in recognition of the company’s outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s automotive industry, particularly its commitment to vehicle assembly, local content development, job creation, and investment in the sector.
The colourful event brought together key stakeholders in the automotive industry, policymakers, transport operators, manufacturers, dealers, and industry enthusiasts to celebrate three decades of Motoringworld’s contributions to automotive journalism and industry development in Nigeria.
The occasion was chaired by Boboye Oyeyemi, former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who commended industry players for their resilience and contributions toward the advancement of Nigeria’s mobility and transportation ecosystem.
Speaking after receiving the award, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cedric Masters Group, Anselm Ilekuba, described the recognition as a significant milestone for the company and a strong motivation to continue investing in Nigeria’s automotive industry.
“At Cedric Masters we have received awards but for Motoring World to recognize us with THE INDIGENOUS AUTO ENTERPRISE AWARD is an exceptional motivation because as a major stakeholder in this industry, I understand the reputation of Motoring World in the Nigerian automotive industry in the past 30 years,” Ilekuba stated.
