Chelsea delay Jackson loan to Bayern amid Isak-Liverpool transfer saga
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has reportedly agreed personal terms to join Bayern Munich on loan, but the move is being delayed as the Blues await developments surrounding Alexander Isak’s potential transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool.
Jackson, 23, is one of the players Chelsea are keen to offload before the summer transfer window closes at midnight on Monday.
The Senegal international has drawn interest from Bayern Munich, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa, with Bayern currently leading the race.
Talks between Chelsea and the Bundesliga champions are said to be advanced, with Bayern offering to cover Jackson’s full wages during the loan spell. However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are hesitant to finalise the deal until there is clarity on Newcastle striker Isak’s situation.

Isak has reportedly gone on strike at St. James’ Park in an attempt to force through a move to Liverpool. Should Newcastle decide to sell the Swedish forward, they are expected to seek a direct replacement — a scenario that could put them in pole position to make a permanent bid for Jackson.
Chelsea are therefore holding out in the hope of securing a better financial package, preferring a permanent transfer over Bayern’s loan proposal.
With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Jackson’s future remains uncertain as Chelsea weigh their options while monitoring the Isak-Liverpool saga.
