Chelsea under pressure to beat the Financial Fair Play deadline as Mason Mount Man United medical is scheduled
The report reaching National Daily can confirm that Premier League giants Chelsea could be under pressure to beat the Financial Fair Play regulations deadline as they will have to ensure that their books are balanced to avoid repercussions.
The Stamford Bridge club have recorded a profit of £123million from player sales over the last 12 months. But, an increase in wages, a failure to secure Champions League qualification and the ongoing impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic has seen such profits at Chelsea wiped off.
And while it has been revealed that Mason Mount will undergo a Manchester United medical ahead of a potential transfer to Old Trafford after the 24-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to join the Red Devils recently, with his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring in 12 months, the transfer will not be completed before the Financial Fair Play deadline come Friday, June 30.

Mount is expected to have his Man United medical on Monday
National Daily learnt from the claim by The Telegraph that United have scheduled a medical for Mount on Monday, which is three days after the annual Financial Fair Play deadline has passed.
