Coalition of religious leaders urge Buhari to embark on massive bombing of forests hidden by bandits
A coalition of religious leaders under the aegis of Pastors United for Change Association, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to order a massive onslaught and bombardment of bandits hiding camps in the forest of Northwest and North Central states, including Niger State, which has become a war zone of the bandits.
The religious leaders, therefore, told President Buhari to use his power as the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces to order immediate deployment of the newly acquired Super Tucano jets to dislodge the bandits from their camps in the forests, which was earlier suggested by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
Chairman of United Pastors For Change, Apostle David Adeniran, at a news briefing in Kaduna, Kaduna State, expressed regret that many lives and property have been wasted as a result of incidence of banditry in Kaduna State and other parts of the Northwest. he noted that State Governors are helpless in handling the situation since they have no control over the army and the police.
Apostle David Adeniran also challenged the military, police and other security operatives to redouble their efforts to eradicate the perpetrators of the killings and attacks and bring them to justice.
