Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has announced a fresh reduction of N15 in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), further easing the burden on Nigerian consumers amid ongoing economic pressures.
The company disclosed the updated price structure in a statement, revealing new region-specific rates that take immediate effect.
According to the refinery, petrol will now retail at N875 per litre in Lagos, N885 in the South West, N895 in the North West and North Central, and N905 in the South East, South South, and North East.
These prices are available through its growing network of partners, including MRS, Ardova (AP), Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde.
The company urged other independent and major marketers to join its expanding distribution network, framing the move as a show of support for President Bola Tinubu’s “Nigeria First” policy, which prioritizes the consumption of locally-produced goods and services.
Since commencing operations, the Dangote Refinery has implemented multiple downward adjustments in PMS prices.
In February 2025, the refinery executed two separate price cuts that reduced petrol by a total of N125 per litre, followed by another N45 per litre cut in April.

These reductions also extended to other key products such as diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), offering broad relief across transportation, industry, and household energy needs.
Reaffirming its commitment to economic stability, the refinery said it would maintain stable pricing despite global crude oil volatility and assured the public of a steady and sufficient supply to meet national demand, with additional surplus designated for export.
The export strategy, it noted, would contribute significantly to boosting Nigeria’s foreign exchange reserves.
This latest development comes as the company’s founder, Aliko Dangote, received global recognition this week, earning a spot on the inaugural 2025 TIME100 Philanthropy list, which honours the most influential figures reshaping the future of global giving and social impact.
