Delta inaugurates council on ease of doing business
The Delta State Government on Thursday inaugurated council on the ease of doing business, under Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, in the state to boost efforts toward promoting more investments and sustainability of businesses in the state.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Patrick Ukah, who coordinated the inauguration on Thursday in Asaba, disclosed that the objective of the council, both at the Federal and State levels, is to remove bottlenecks and bureaucratic constraints to doing business in the state.
The SSG listed the terms of reference of the council to include: removing bureaucratic constraints to doing business, strengthening the implementation of business environment and constituting a technical committee that would facilitate the ease of doing business.
Members of the council include: the SSG, the Commissioners for Trade and Investment, Economic Planning, the Head of Service (HoS), the Chief Economic Adviser to the governor, among others.
Ukah enjoined members of the council to carefully study the materials associated with the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms in order to make significant and effective contributions toward creating an enabling business environment in the state.
The Commissioner for Economic Planning, Barry Gbe, assured that the council would carry out its task judiciously for the progress of the state.
