The royal father, while inaugurating the facilities, on Monday, in Zaria, urged others to emulate the philanthropic gesture, saying that ”it was one of the ways to give back to the society.”
“I am very delighted to see the improvements at this hospital.
“This has inspired and encouraged me to talk to other people towards seeking more support for the facility and other public hospitals, to up-scale healthcare delivery services in the emirate’’, he added.
The royal father, therefore, appealed to key stakeholders in the state to imbibe regular visits to health facilities and schools, to avail themselves of the real situations on the ground.
Earlier, the General Manager of the facility, Abubakar Idris, disclosed that the donation included: standard equipment for the accident and emergency wards, saying that they would help improve the response and capabilities of the maternity ward and amenity rooms in the hospital.
He added that plans had reached an advanced stage for the establishment of a Diagnostic Centre of Excellence and a School of Nursing.
