Escaped convict re-arrested in Borno State
The Borno State Police Command has re-arrested Abubakar Mohammed, a convict who escaped from prison during a flood. The police are continuing efforts to apprehend other escapees.
The Borno State Police Command has re-arrested Abubakar Mohammed, a 27-year-old convict who escaped from the medium-security custodial center in Maiduguri during a flood.
According to a statement released by the police spokesperson, Abubakar was sighted in Gubio Local Government Area on Sunday.
A local resident alerted the authorities, leading to his re-arrest.

The police command has pledged to continue efforts to apprehend other escapees and ensure public safety.
Abubakar will be handed over to the Nigerian Correctional Service.
