FCCPC lauds EFCC Chairman Olukoyede for leadership in anti-corruption efforts
The Vice Chairman/CEO of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Mr. Olatunji Bello, has praised the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, for his outstanding leadership and the notable progress in the anti-corruption fight under his tenure.
Bello made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Bello acknowledged Olukoyede’s leadership qualities, stating that his achievements have earned him the trust of Nigerians. “We want to commend you for doing great work for the country through the EFCC. Nigerians appreciate your efforts and are behind you,” he said.
The FCCPC chief emphasized the need for collaboration between the two agencies to enhance the FCCPC’s consumer protection mandate, particularly in areas like surveillance and investigation.
“We need more investigation and collaborative efforts with the EFCC. There are many areas where we need your support to advance our cause,” Bello added.
In response, Olukoyede expressed gratitude for the visit and stressed the importance of cooperation between regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies.
