Mr. Tavershima Adyorough, senior aide to the Governor of Benue state, was murdered on Sundaymorning in his residence at BIPC Estate Nyiman, Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
The Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Tever Akase who confirmed the murder explained that Adyorough was shot and killed by gunmen who invaded his residence about 12.30am this morning.
National Daily gathered that the gunmen also shot his wife but escaped death and now admitted in an undisclosed hospital.
According to Akase, Governor Ortom describes the killing as unacceptable and condemnable, requesting security agencies to swing into action immediately so as to arrest those responsible for the dastardly act.
