Herdsmen now target Catholic church in Benue, kill 27 worshipers in 4 days
Two priests and 17 other people were killed in an attack by armed herdsmen who invaded St. Ignatius Quasi Parish Ukpor-Mbalom in Ayar-Mbalom community of Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue Tuesday morning.
No fewer than 100 houses in the community were also razed in the attack.
Just last week, 10 people were murdered inby herdsmen in military uniform in Naka, Gwer West LGA.
Victims of the these attacks were coming from morning mass.
The attacks many describe as wanton are taking place in spite of a military camapign going on across the north central Nigeria.
