Hoodlums attack Isheri Police station
By OKOSUN DENNIS
Some unidentified hoodlums on Saturday attacked the Base 8 Police Division at Isheri area of Lagos in what appears to be a reprisal action.
National Daily learnt that the attack was said to be a retaliation by some hoodlums after policemen attached to the station raided the community to clear it of criminal activities and hideouts.

As a result, disgruntled members of the community were said to have taken laws into their hands when they woke up this morning to discover a dead body was floating on the river and “the thugs wrongly assumed the deceased got drowned as a result of the raid by the police” and immediately mobilised to attack the station.
However, it was gathered that normalcy has been restored to the police station but not after windows of the station were damaged by the hoodlums.

It couldn’t immediately be ascertained if any arrest has been made. At the moment, men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have been deployed to all the nooks and crannies of the community
