How Arsenal are set to beat Manchester City to the EPL title
The race to the 2022/2023 EPL title appears to be tight as after 13 games, Arsenal and Man City sitting at the top of the table with both looking poised to be the clear favourites to claim the title.
And while Pep Guardiola and his side are currently two points off the leaders, many though still expect the Etihad club to be crowned champions for the fifth time in six seasons given just how strong their squad is and their record over the years.
But in the midst of the Citizens’ challenge, the Gunners sensational form so far this season has raised hope that the north London club can beat City to the title to win the first title since their 2003/04 Invincibles triumph.
And with the season set to resume on Boxing Day after just one more round of league fixtures this weekend before the break for the World Cup in Qatar, some are of the concern that the month-long rest could kill Arsenal’s, and indeed any other in-form team’s momentum.
But Arsenal’s former defender William Gallas thinks otherwise. Explaining to Genting Casino, the Frenchman is rather of the opinion that the break may give his former side an advantage over City National Daily can confirm: ‘I think the World Cup can help Arsenal because they have a couple less international players who are going to the World Cup

Gallas is of the opinion that Arteta will benefit with few Arsenal players participating at the World Cup in the EPL title race
‘So that will be very interesting when you play the World Cup because in the middle of the season, you have to play in Qatar it’s going to be very warm but after the World Cup you come back to England and there will be a big difference in preparation and it will be hard.
‘So that’s why I think Arsenal have a great opportunity because they have a few less players going to the World Cup. So they have to grab that opportunity.’
‘I hope Manchester City don’t win it [the Premier League]!’ Gallas added.
‘I hope it is a London club who win the league. Arsenal have a great opportunity, and they have to carry on.
‘It will not be easy to stay in that position because you have to play every three days, mentally and physically you can be tired. And if you compare the squad with Manchester City to Arsenal, you can see they have the stronger squad.’
