Indian PM Modi talks with Iran’s President, Pezeshkian, after U.S. airstrikes
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, held talks with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran after the airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites by the United States (U.S.).
Modi, expressing deep concerns over the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, reiterated the call for immediate de-escalation, diplomacy and dialogue to resolve the impasse.
According to Narendra Modi @narendramodi,
“Spoke with President of Iran @drpezeshkian
“We discussed in detail about the current situation.
“Expressed deep concern at the recent escalations.
“Reiterated our call for immediate de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward and for early restoration of regional peace, security and stability.”
The U.S., in the early hours of Sunday, deployed its B-2 fighter plane which carried out airstrikes on Iran’s three nuclear sites.
