Kingdom ruled by females in Northern Nigeria

Did you know that there is a town in Northern Nigeria where only female rule under their monarchy system?

This may be sounds surprising to the readers, as by expectation and according to many cultures especially in the North, Women are somehow considered as the weaker sex, therefore, not considered to rule especially under a monarchy system.

But contrary to that, Dingep kingdom in Ganye Local Government Area of ​​Adamawa state, in the northeastern part of Nigeria has been ruled by women for more than 7 centuries, a situation that differs Dingep Kingdom from other kingdoms in the northern part of the country.
