Like Vardy, Like Ighalo: EPL top scorers duplicate Luiz Suarez’s strides
By EDIALE KINGSLEY
JAMIE Vardy is EPL’s highest goal scorer for the moment. Many who doubted his ability to keep up with the lead that started last year October are having a change of mind.
Leicester City is taking the EPL by storm to the astonishment of its followers and Vardy’s goals are the reason why they stay consistent. That Vardy isn’t the club’s official penalty taker is the most intriguing part of this amazing tale.

Odion Ighalo is another striker striding along with Vardy. Just like Vardy, Odion Ighalo isn’t the first choice penalty taker for Watford, Troy Deeney is. However it’s Ighalo that’s breaking all the internal records of his club. With just few goals to meet his club’s target, it’s now clear that the Super Eagles striker will get the promised goodie from Watford club managers.
It may also interest you to know that many soccer pundits are placing the former Udinese striker at par with Luiz Suarez who is topping the Laliga’s table. Suarez has managed to pull this stunt as the third choice penalty taker, unlike Ronaldo and Messi who have both emerged tops of the goal scorers table at the past eight seasons as official penalty takers in their respective club.
