List of security team of Buhari administration dominated by northwest 2022
The security team by former President Muhammadu Buhari was dominated by northwest Nigeria in 2022 at a time of fierce battle with bandits and Boko Haram terrorists in the north. This was the exit security team bequeathed to President Bola Tinubu.
Of the 14 heads of security agencies in the security team of Buhari, the northwest dominated with 7 appointments, while the other 5 zones shared 7 other appointments.

3. Chief of Army Staff: Farouk Yahaya
4. Chief of Naval Staff: Awwal Gambo
5. DSS, DG: Yusuf Magaji Bichi

7. Immigration, CG: Isah Jere Idris
The Northeast had 3, north central 1, South-South 1, and South West 2.
