Man rapes, infects 13-Year-Old Girl with HIV
A man, Edet James Asuquo, has been arrested by the Cross Rivers State police command for allegedly raping and infecting a 13-year-old girl with Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV.
Hafiz Inuwa, the state Commissioner of Police, on Tuesday said Asuquo has been charged to court.
Inuwa said Asuquo confessed that he was aware of his HIV status and had vowed to spread the virus as much as he could.
Inuwa disclosed that the girl was confirmed HIV positive after a routine medical test.
The police commissioner, who briefed newsmen on the achievements on the state police command said Asuquo will be prosecuted accordingly.
