Match Analysis: Messi mesmerizes as Ronaldo rises to the occasion
By EDIALE KINGSLEY
GUARDIOLA’S boys did the needful to ride over the gunners today. Thanks to Sterling’s nailing and De Bruyne’s gracious pass. Why couldn’t Arsene Wenger’s boys build on the Walcott’s early goal? Because the guys at Silicon Valley are yet to finish that technology called Oziliation. The technology would help Arsene Wenger know when Ozil won’t be able to boot. He was sidelined in today’s game. But for some weired reason, it was the hard working Alex Iwobi that was subbed. Pep risked playing without a natural striker for the better part of the match. And he got away with it. Man City’s Zabaleta is getting too old or poor for these games. He isn’t useful anymore. He’s becoming a liability.
Sagna’s sub for him helped the game. At least for Man City. 2:1 in favor of Man City.
Barca was splendid. Messi created scenes that would break the internet the next day. Iniesta, the wine, was as ever superb. Great passes from him caused damage for the opponent. The Espanyol’s Diego Lopez got injured after managing to concede a single goal. But the goal keeper that came in for him was a fan of Messi and Neymar. He was able to manage just 4 goals beating him for the net. One of those four goals was a nutmeg by Messi. Real Madrid uneasily won the Club World Cup thanks to Ronaldo’s hat trick. 4:2 it ended After Extra Time.
