Military kill 8 terrorists, repel attack on Army barrack
The military authorities on Monday disclosed that army killed eight terrorists belonging to Islamic State-allied jihadists and successfully repelled an attack on a military base in Niger State. The military was said to have hundreds of bandits in their custody in the state.
It was disclosed that several Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters attempted to invade the Wawa military cantonment in the remote New Bussa village near the border with Benin Republic on Saturday night to release over 1,000 of their members detained at the cantonment.
