Mob set ablaze six bandits in Sokoto
Residents of a community in Sokoto State unleashed their anger on some bandits who ran out of luck and were apprehended in the community. The residents in their provocation set ablaze six armed bandits in a community in Tangaza Local Government Area in the northern senatorial district, Sokoto State.
The bandits were said to be arrested by security operatives in collaboration with local vigilantes.
The bandits were identified to be involved in earlier attacks on the community, killing two people and kidnapping four others.
It was narrated that the residents went after the bandits during the attack on the village, overpowering six, who were arrested in a bush adjacent to the community.
The residents in their anger, overcrowded the police, snatching the arrested bandits and burnt them. The police were arranging to take them to the force headquarters in the state.
