N57,000 theft lands man in court
A man identified as Julius Yakubu has been dragged before a Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly stealing N57,000 from a woman.
Arraigning him on Thursday in Ota, the 28 years old man pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Yakubu, who resides at No. 16 Oriyomi St., Iyana-Ilogbo, Ota, is facing a charge of stealing.
He was said to have committed the offence on April 4, about 6.00.p.m at Bells Area, Ota after the accused stole the N57,000 belonging to one Mabel Ohimaamhe.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Chudu Gbesi, explained to the court that the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Vol. 1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The Magistrate, Mr S. O. Banwo, however, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned till May 4 for hearing.
