NCC donates ICT equipment to Nigerian Army Institute of Technology

The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has donated ICT equipment to the Nigeria Army Institute of Technology and environmental studies Markurdi. During the handover ceremony of the ICT equipment which comprises of Ten Laptops one number coloured laser jet printer, 2 number black and white laser jet printers and 1 number projector, in Abuja, the Head of Information Technology Department of NCC, Engr. Abraham Oshadami, who represented the executive vice chairman of NCC , Prof. Umaru Garba Dambatta stated that the gesture will go a long way to complement the effort of the Nigeria Army towards achieving its mandate and to further enhance the security of the country. He further expressed his hope that the donation will make a difference on the staff and students of the Institute not only by improving their access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools but to enhance their skills in computing, as well as understanding and developing appreciation of ICT for improved efficiency in teaching and learning in various subjects. He also noted that NCC expects that the ICT tools will be properly allocated, managed, protected and maintained for the benefit of staff and students. Engr. Oshadami also recalled that the donation was in fulfillment of a request made by the Institute in 2018 requesting for partnership and sponsorship and soliciting for the intervention of the Commission to provide ICT facilities for the use of the Institute.
Responding on behalf of the Rector of the Institute, Maj. General Aminu Abdul, the Director ICT of the Institute, Miss Chidinma Nwafor thanked the commission for the donation and expressed the appreciation of the Rector and students of the Institute for the laudable gesture.
