NDLEA recaptures escapee Boko Haram member from Kuje prisons in Abuja
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Monday, arrested an escapee Boko Haram member from the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Centre, Abuja, who flee during the ISWAP attach at the prisons last week. NDLEA intercepted the escapee Boko Haram member from the Kuje prisons, Suleiman Sidi, in the early hours of Monday at the Area 1 Motorpark, as he was about to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno State. He was caught with three parcels of cannabis sativa (Indian hemp) at the time of his arrest.
On interrogation, Suleiman Sidi admitted that he was remanded at the Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre for terrorism and robbery charges, confirming that he was one of the inmates that flee from the prison facility during the terrorists attack last Tuesday.
The NDLEA Chairman, Brigadier-General Buba Marwa (rtd) ordered the immediate return of the escapee Boko Haram member the Nigerian Correctional Service administration.
