Central Luzon Police director Brigadier General Redrico Maranan reported that several suspects were taken into custody following a well-coordinated operation carried out by the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group. This operation was executed in partnership with the local police from Mabalacat City and Angeles City. The authorities conducted a raid on the suspects’ hideout, which was located in Barangay Malabanias, at approximately 5 in the morning.
Brigadier General Maranan further explained that the successful operation was initiated based on reliable information gathered by the Anti-Kidnapping Group. This information indicated that the suspects were involved in the kidnapping of a fellow Nigerian national named Kingsley Chukwuemeka Ikeagwuana. Kingsley is a student who resides at the Urban Resort Residences in Paranaque City. The suspects reportedly held Kingsley against his will and were demanding a ransom for his release, which added a serious dimension to the investigation and prompted the swift action by the police.
