Nour Khodr Reveals 3 Lesser-Known Facts about Music Reality Shows
Nour Khodr, who was scouted by the TV show, The Voice has had a great experience.
Music Reality shows are rising day by day, and with the host of music reality shows, there are a few things that many viewers of these shows don’t know about.
While talking to Nour Khodr, he revealed three lesser-known facts about music reality shows that made us left dumbfounded.
“Music Reality shows don’t just give an opportunity to aspiring singers, but these shows are thoroughly entertaining as well. These shows are continuously growing, and they are loved by every family, no matter where people live,” says Nour.
Singers Can’t Pick Their Own Songs
Nour Khodr surprised us with this lesser-known fact.
He says that no singer in any of the music reality shows is allowed to choose their own songs once they are on board. Nour added, “during the audition, every singer is free to pick a song of the music genre that they are comfortable with, but once a singer gets through the audition phase, they are entirely dependent on the show.”
Some shows may be given a chance to pick one song among a few choices, but most of the time, it’s the show that decides which song will be sung by which artists. So, 90% of the time, it’s never the singer’s call to pick a song.
Therefore, whether they are comfortable singing a song or not, they will still have to do it.
Once a Contestant Gets Eliminated, They Never Get a Chance to Say Goodbye
“In a music reality show, it is all about the show business,” says Nour. He added by saying that “when someone gets eliminated by the show, they have to leave the show right away.
This means that they don’t even get a chance to properly say goodbye to other singers with whom they have formed a relationship. Whatever happens, it happens on the stage, and that’s about it.
This is something that is heavily criticized because contestants want to meet and greet other contestants before leaving.”
The Hosts of the Music Reality Shows Often Have to Travel Back and Forth
“It is not only the contestants that have to deal with a few issues; it is also the hosts of the music reality shows who have to do the hard work.
And they, in fact, do a lot of hard work. Most of the hosts often do two shows together. Hence, they have to travel back and forth to host the music reality show. They can’t miss a show! Life is hectic,” says Nour Khodr.
