The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has arrested four suspects for alleged economic sabotage and involvement in heinous crimes in the state.

The State Commandant of the corps, Mr. Adedoyin Keshinro, revealed the arrests on Monday in Lagos during a press briefing.

He explained that these arrests were part of ongoing efforts to expose crimes and criminal activities in the society.

Keshinro detailed the case of one suspect, a 29-year-old man from Osun, who was arrested for deliberately vandalizing a DAF truck he was originally employed to drive.

He was apprehended by the NSCDC patrol team around the Guinness axis of Ikeja on January 27, at about 9:00 AM.

The suspect was arrested alongside two accomplices: a 28-year-old scrap dealer from Kano State and a 48-year-old vulcanizer from Osun.

They were accused of vandalizing and disassembling the truck, selling its parts as scraps to potential buyers.

In another case, a 28-year-old male from Adamawa was arrested for his involvement in online scams.

The suspect had been using fake payment receipts to defraud victims and cause financial hardship.

After receiving complaints from two victims, NSCDC operatives tracked down and apprehended the suspect, although other members of the scam group are still at large and being pursued.
