Plateau: Don’t summon Mangu CAN Chair – former CAN youth president to Military
A former youth president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Engr. Daniel Kadzai has advised the Nigerian Military not to summon the Plateau State Mangu CAN Chairman, Rev. Timothy Daluk over his video message, but rather dig deep into the information he revealed.
Kadzai said the information released by Daluk cannot be swept under the bridge, saying that an elder and clergy cannot lie with such sensitive information.
Recall that a video made by Rev. Daluk circulated on the media two days ago where he alleged that the Military is taken sides in the ongoing genocide taking place in Mangu local government area of Plateau State.
Daluk had said in his video message that the Military deployed to maintain peace in the region are rather shielding the Muslims in their game plan to wipe out Christians from their ancestral land.
He also alleged that the curfew imposed by Governor Caleb Mutfwang is only enforced in the Christian dominated area while the Military allows the Muslims to move freely.
It would be recalled that on January 23, 2024 the Governor had imposed a curfew in Mangu LGA following a security report. But unfortunately, that same night of the announcement of the curfew, Fulani bandits still invaded the Christian community and killed over 30 persons including women and children.
However worried by the incessant killings in the region, the former CAN scribe, Kadzai, alarmed that the killings has become one too many and called on the federal government to demonstrate a political will power in ending the genocide.
He tasked the security agencies to prove their worth and unravel the mystery behind the endless killings of innocent people in the region.
According to him: “Where are Nigeria’s stakeholders, where are the military equipment, where are the patriotic officers, where are the prophets? Where are the Sheikhs Preaching that Islam is a religion of peace.
“Where are the professors, Nigerian youths?
“There is no tomorrow anymore to boast about. Where are our mothers, must you all be widowed by force?
“I weep because, when I look around and read discussions in the media , I see that life goes on, mostly without any visible concern. Nigerians must wake up!
“Instead of summoning the grieving Mangu CAN Chairman who lost his members, why not investigate his allegations and fish out those behind the killings.
“We are no longer safe anywhere. The roads, market, farm, Churches, mosques and even our home, nowhere to hide”, he said.
