The Nigeria Police Force has responded to a viral video showing an individual in a Spy Police uniform making political statements about the upcoming Edo State gubernatorial election.

In a statement by the force spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Spy Police Officers are trained by the NPF for specific security roles within their workplaces and are not on the NPF payroll.
