Russia goes tough, restricts entry visa for ‘unfriendly’ countries – U.S., U.K., E.U.
Russia Federation disclosed on Monday it will be going tough on unfriendly states, preparing to restrict entry into Russia for nationals of “unfriendly” countries, like the United States (U.S.), United Kingdom (U.K.), and all European Union countries.
Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, in television broadcast revealed: “A draft presidential decree is being developed on retaliatory visa measures in response to the ‘unfriendly’ actions of a number of foreign states.
“This act will introduce a number of restrictions on entry into Russia.”
The West has rolled out series of unusual sanctions on Russia after President Vladimir Putin ordered special military operations in Ukraine.
Russia identified the “unfriendly” countries to include the United States, Australia, Canada, Britain, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, all EU member states, including NATO allies.
However, China, North Korea and some other countries are yet to have reasons to go against China. Indeed, China and North Korea have blamed the U.S. for being responsible for the Russia military operations in Ukraine. Both countries berated the U.S. and its Western allies for undermining the security of Russia.
