Ruth Kadiri reacts to insecurity, calls for self-defence rights
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has expressed concern over the growing rate of insecurity in Nigeria, following repeated reports of abductions and killings across the country.
The actress took to her social media page to lament the increasing fear and uncertainty faced by many Nigerians, stating that citizens now feel unsafe in several parts of the country.

Kadiri noted that the persistent attacks and rising insecurity have left many people feeling helpless, while lives and property remain under threat.
Calling for urgent action, she appealed to authorities to prioritise the protection of citizens and improve security measures nationwide.
“Give us power to defend ourselves,” she wrote.
Her remarks sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians echoing her concerns and urging the government and security agencies to take stronger steps to address insecurity across the country.
