Senegal defeats Ecuador 2-1, advances at Qatar 2022
Senegal got the job done against Ecuador to book a ticket to the Qatar 2022 knockout stage.
In a crucial game for their FIFA World Cup hopes, Senegal got the upper hand over Ecuador to seal a place in the Qatar 2022 round of 16, ending La Tri’s run in the tournament.
Ismaila Sarr gave the African team the lead from the penalty spot just before the half-time. Moises Caicedo put things level in the second half, but it didn’t last long as only three minutes later Kalidou Koulibaly scored the winner.
