Speaker Obasa under-representing Agege in Lagos Assembly, ignores bad access road
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, may be underrepresenting the Agege Town, a suburb of Ikeja metropolis, which is part of his primary constituency, in the state legislature. Some stakeholders have cried out over their plight at the about 130 metres bad spot on the access road from Agege to Ikeja expressway, particularly, Mangoro location.
The road portion along Mangoro, leading to Ikeja along driving through Capito Road to the express enroute Ikeja from Agege has been washed off. Drivers have to slowly go through the bumps to find their way out of the location.
Agege residents who spoke to National Daily complained that Speaker Obasa, who is the Head of the legislative arm of government cannot influence the Lagos State government to fix that portion of the road, which they said is getting worse from time to time. Some residents protested that Obasa should do something about the road before coming to them for votes in the 2023 general elections.
Being informed that the said road may not be under the Speaker direct constituency, the residents argued that al they know is Agege Town, and they are not bordered about the breakdown of the constituencies for political purpose. They want the road rehabilitated.
