Coach Eric Chelle has named a 25-man Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup in London, featuring the return of veteran forward Ahmed Musa for the first time since January 2024.
Musa, who will also resume captaincy duties, headlines a roster predominantly composed of fringe players and talent from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Several European-based regulars, including prominent stars like Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, and Alex Iwobi, have been rested ahead of crucial upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Nine players from the NPFL have been included, providing them with a significant opportunity to impress on the international stage.
Werder Bremen’s Felix Agu has been called up for training purposes, but will not be eligible to play due to pending documentation.
The Unity Cup tournament is scheduled to run from May 26 to 31 at Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium and will feature four national teams: Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Nigeria is set to face Ghana on May 28.
Following the tournament, most NPFL players are expected to return home, while top European stars such as Victor Boniface, Ola Aina, and William Troost-Ekong are anticipated to rejoin the squad for a friendly match against Russia in Moscow on June 6.
