Thugs attack Gov Dickson Adviser in Ekeremor, Bayelsa

As preparation for Bayelsa state rerun election in Southern Ijaw tomorrow, 9 January, 2015, gets closer, thugs have reportedly attacked the governor’s lodge in the state.
A senior adviser to Governor Serike Dickson, Mr Tam Alari was said to have been macheted by thugs armed AK47 rifle.
They were said to have stormed the governors lodge at Ekeremor local government of the state.
A source close to governor Dickson who hinted National Daily on condition of anonymity said the attack was guerilla-like in nature as they shot sporadically scaring people away.
The rerun election became necessary after an inconclusive election in 2015 between the incumbent governor Dickson and a former governor of the state, Timipre Sylva.
Prior to tomorrow’s rerun, the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has imposed movement restrictions in eight of the nine local government areas of the state to check movement of criminals and political thugs.
