Tinubu on solidarity visit to Emir of Birnin Gwari over bandits attacks, killings in Kaduna
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on a solidarity visit to the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Mallam Zubairu Maigwari, in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, Kaduna State, expressed sympathy with the residents of the Emirate over high frequency of attacks by bandits. The APC presidential candidate promised that he would eliminate bandits and other terrorists, and terminate terrorist attacks in Kaduna State, as well as other parts of northern Nigeria, if elected as president.
Tinubu, at the palace of the Emir, expressed condolence with the people of the Emirate over the loss of lives and property following attacks by bandits.
Tinubu had declared: “I stand before you, sir, to say that there is a good opportunity coming. The election is near.
“We serve them notice again that we will not relent in our efforts to eliminate banditry. I can assure you, that will be our priority.”
The Emir of Birnin Gwari acknowledged the brevity of the APC presidential candidate to visit the troubled community, noting that the visit is uncommon.
The Emir, thereafter, awarded Tinubu with the chieftaincy title of Dakare of Birnin Gwari, for being the first presidential candidate to visit the community under siege of bandits’ attacks.
Tinubu’s running mate, Kashim Shettima; Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, the Director General of the APC presidential campaign, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State; Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State; Atiku Bagudu Kebbi of State, and the APC governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, accompanied Tinubu on the solidarity visit.
