In a sensational revelation that is sparking renewed controversy in Nigeria’s political landscape, U.S.-based Nigerian activist and journalist, Dr. Sandra Duru, popularly known as Professor Mgbeke, has submitted what she claims to be incriminating evidence against suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to international authorities, including law enforcement agencies in the United States and other jurisdictions.
During a Facebook Live broadcast on Thursday night, which lasted over an hour, Dr. Duru displayed call logs and WhatsApp messages, asserting that they were part of a series of recorded phone conversations between her and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The activist stated that the contents of these communications reveal what she described as the “hidden agenda” behind the recent sexual harassment allegations made by the senator against Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Contrary to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s public assertions that she had no prior contact with Duru, the activist claimed to have proof of multiple interactions.
“She lied when she said we never spoke,” Duru said, showing screenshots of alleged call histories and message exchanges. “This is not just about politics anymore. This is about criminal deception.”

Dr. Duru further alleged that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan offered her N200 million to publicly accuse Senate President Akpabio of organ harvesting and to connect him with the tragic death of Iniubong Umoren, a young woman murdered in 2021. Duru said the senator made the offer after her original sexual harassment claims failed to gain traction.
“One, there is no sexual harassment of any kind; two, there is no evidence of organ harvesting,” Duru said. “I told Natasha, you are a pathological liar, and you’ve disgraced Nigerians. She responded by calling Nigerians ‘Gullible and Hungry’—G and H.”
The activist accused the embattled senator of weaponizing false narratives and conspiracies in a bid to blackmail top government officials. According to Duru, Akpoti-Uduaghan confided in her that her goal was to force Akpabio to resign, thereby destabilising what she referred to as the “Yoruba government”—a phrase whose meaning Duru said remained unclear to her.
“She said this fight is not just about Akpabio, it’s about the President,” Duru alleged. “She said they don’t want the Yoruba government to last beyond four years. She’s playing a dangerous game with national unity.”
The activist also referenced the death of Umoren, reiterating that a post-mortem had ruled out organ harvesting. However, she expressed concern that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, by claiming insider knowledge about the case, may have withheld critical information from the authorities for years.
“I have already written to the international agencies and the Nigerian Police about a senator who claims to know something about a murder but kept it to herself. She must explain what she knows about the death of that girl,” Duru insisted.

She also accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of maligning other prominent Nigerian women, including former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili. “She called Oby Ezekwesili a ‘useful idiot,’” Duru stated, adding that the senator was “on a mission to destroy men” and corrupt the minds of impressionable young women.
“She lacks humility, she lacks moral values, and she doesn’t care who she brings down to get what she wants. If things don’t go her way, you become her enemy,” she added.
According to Duru, Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly revealed that she had been promised either the governorship of Kogi State or a ministerial appointment—specifically as Minister of Petroleum Resources—if she succeeded in discrediting the Senate President.
Dr. Duru called on the Nigeria Police Force, Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and international security agencies to open a formal investigation into Akpoti-Uduaghan’s allegations and her possible complicity in suppressing evidence related to past criminal cases.
As the allegations unfold, observers await the next steps from both Nigerian and international authorities, even as political tension deepens around the embattled senator and the alleged conspiracy to destabilise key elements of Nigeria’s leadership.
