USA Treasury Secretary agrees with TB Joshua on economic backlash caused by lockdown
USA Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said on Thursday 11th June 2020 that shutting down the economy has created more damage to the country.
His words bear witness to the message Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua sent to US President Donald Trump on March 12th 2020 before the
lockdown was enforced.
“We can’t shut down the economy again. I think we’ve learned that if you shut down the economy, you’re going to create more damage, and not just economic damage, but there are other areas,” Mnuchin said during an appearance on CNBC, adding that USA had “learned a lot”.
In his message to Trump, TB Joshua had warned the lockdown would “cause a backlash” and was “not the best way to stop the spread of coronavirus”.
He said, “It will affect the American economy the more and also the world economy. It will also affect the forthcoming election in America – in one way or another.”
The cleric stressed that “coronavirus is fear” which “lingers in the air”. “Fear does not need to fly to America or any other country on a plane before being contracted,” he concluded.
On April 20th 2020, Joshua had equally warned that “hardship virus” was more “dangerous than coronavirus”.
“The presidents of the nations should open up the economy. The more we delay in opening up the economy, the more we will face a worse situation afterwards,” he had cautioned.
