The General Manager of Warri Wolves Mr Tony Rafua, brutalize a sports journalist, Clarkson Ogo for reporting the week 34 game of the NNL where Warri wolves defeated Bayelsa United 1-0.

National Daily gathered that after he was informed of a picture report online showing him on the technical line instructing players with a caption begging for answer” is the Wolves General Manager now the Coach?”.

Tony Rafua former Chairman of Delta force left the pitch and climb up to the media stand and gave the journalist three hot slap,ordering the staduim thugs to throw him out of the staduim saying no body not even the league body can do him anything because that is what they face in their away games.

He threaten to ban the journalist from all Warri wolves game.

But it took the intervention of his fellow colleagues, soccer fans and chairman of some clubs to stop him.

Warri Wolves GM reacts to allege assault on journalist.

Warri Wolves General Manager Tony Ndubisi Rafua has responded to reports that he slapped a journalist in his team’s 1-0 victory over Bayelsa United on Sunday.

The issue started when journalist Clarkson Ogo posted a picture on social media showing Ndubisi on the technical area with a caption “Is the Wolves General Manager now the Coach?”

The former Delta Force chairman says he doesn’t like people infringing on his personal right, though he pleaded with his club’s official to allow the journalist remain in the stadium after the incident.

“We scored a goal, hard-earned result. The game was 50-50 when we scored that goal.

“The players celebrated outside the pitch and it was an opportunity for me to step up and psyche up the players the more. I never encroached the pitch and the referee never sanctioned me.

Am also aware that the man in question is not an accredited journalist for the game match day 28.

“People instructed that the boy should be thrown out of the stadium, but I was the one pleading. Delta FA vice chairman Edema Fuludu called him to order and instructed him to apologise or face serious sanctions”

He added: “If you look at my position on the table, you wouldn’t be satisfied. I do everything humanly possible to win my games not by harassing referees or anybody.

“Have never harassed referees and I would never harassed one because I know what the law states.

“Much as I want to be calm and respect myself, I don’t like people infringing on my personal right. If by any reason you publish my pictures without my consent. On such basis I would react.”

Warri Wolves are 14th in the Nigeria National League (NNL), with 36 points from 28 games.
