What shariah court decides in case of 2-minute man and disgruntled wife
Lubabatu Ibrahim is not asking for much. But the little she demands, her husband is incapable of delivering it. A shariah court at Rigasa, Kaduna, has now stepped in.
The 25-year-old wife wants divorce. The husband wants help.
According to Lubabatu, her husband has refused to seek help for his poor performance in bed.
“He lasted two minutes,” the wife told the court.
Besides, his mental balance needs examination too.
Ibrahim usually has a seizure in the middle of the night, making him shout and break anything he grabs.
“I have advised him to seek medical help, but he refused,” she added, saying she was fed up.
Ibrahim didn’t dispute all the accusations, but he told the court he loves his wife, and he’s ready for all the help he can get.
Shariah law is guided by Islam, and the court will decide on whether rapid-fire sex is enough ground to dump a man.
For now, the only help the judge, Malam Salisu Abubakar-Tureta, offered was order the couple to present their guardians in court on Sept. 21.
